The potential revenue from the government's upcoming tax amnesty policy should have been treated as a bonus and not as a major source of state revenue.
The central bank said Indonesia"s economy has been resilient. Low inflation, controlled current account deficit and a stable exchange rate are evidence of its continued macroeconomic stability.
"We are sure that the increased ICP assumption and oil and gas lifting targets will boost regional revenues, especially of oil and gas producing regions."
The plan is for this area to be a place where Indonesian entrepreneurs to establish and register their businesses as special purpose vehicles (SPV). A special low tax will apply to businesses.
Meanwhile, the Financial Services Authority (OJK) is still discussing the request for a guarantee that assets can be used as collateral to obtain loans.
Talks have not even covered the tax amnesty tariff yet because the ten factions represented on Commission XI have proposed tariffs ranging from 2 percent to 20 percent.
